This is a blog to share my love of painting and drawing. Daily practice isn't always possible, but it remains the best way to make consistent progress.

Tube of Paint: Painting exercise in 100 strokes (or less) - Pastel on paper
In this workshop exercise, Tony Allain had us choose a nearby object and render it in no more than 100 strokes. I grabbed this Cadmium Red tube of paint. I like the simplicity of it:)
Hi! If you're interested in any of my paintings, or a commission, email me. I love to paint portraits of people and animals, and other subjects with special meaning.
Contact: Rhondahurwitz1 "at" gmail.com. Thank you for stopping by my blog.
I spent hours drawing with my artist dad when I was a kid. Art took a back seat to school and career, until an article about daily painters inspired me to start drawing and painting again. I post new work on this blog to chart my progress.
Two things I've learned: 1) art is a never-ending journey, and 2) I'm happiest in front of an easel:)
I live in Goshen, CT with my husband, a rescue dog named Cassie.
Thanks for visiting!
