I have painted people many times, but after umpteen dogs I am trying my hand at portraiture again; it isn't as easy as I had remembered. I decided to paint my daughter. She's 18 now; tempis fugit!

Hi Rhonda,
I don't know your daughter and I do not know how close this painting is but even with this lack of knowledge there is a kind of angelness coming out of this little girl's face that could only be recognized and painted by a mother!
Lovely portrait - especially with that small portion of light on the little girl's face!
Greetings from Munich,
Petra
Beautiful!
This is a beautiful, beautiful painting. I can tell it was painted from the heart.
This is so precious, I love the light on her face. Well done!
Rhonda,
Claude, Camille, Auguste, and Mary (Cassatt) would be proud to hang this piece in a group show. Your treatment of light, color and composition are all perfect. Very nicely done.
Amen on the tempis fugit - my daughter is turning 35 this fall. How did that happen?
Wonderful, Rhonda!
It's magnificent!
Beautiful piece, Rhonda--very special.
This is a very beautiful work of art. It could grace the wall of any museum!
