Afternoon in Burano Italy, with Bicycle - 12.5 x 16" Pastel (SOLD)

Didn't have time to finish a daily painting today, so I am posting a scene I painted from my summer trip to Italy. Burano is a small island off the coast of Venice where all the buildings are painted different colors, as you see here. Not sure why they do that, but it is incredibly beautiful.

The problem with Burano is only one of which way to turn! ;)

I really like this one - great colour!

Since you left such a nice comment on my blog...I came here to see who you were. I have admired your paintings also on the Daily's. Love the Kimonos and this one....and several others. Good work.

Beautiful painting, Rhonda! I also was in Burano last year ... I wonder if, perhaps, we were there the same time? Was in Venice in June/July ... you, too?

Love this one very much -- !

WOW! enter this one in the next International Artist Magazine contest. It is a sure winner. Perfect control of color temperature and a wonderful composition. It wasn't the place it was the artist's skill that did that.
