Painting Short Poses: Winter 2019

This winter, I schlepped up to the Silvermine Art Center in New Canaan, to take Dean Fisher's painting class. He's an extraordinary teacher, it was well worth the trip.

One thing that I learned from these 40-minute quick studies on a mid-toned board is to paint the light. The form emerges and the shadow is suggested without having to paint it:)
