My first attempt at plein air this season. The surrounding hills were absolutely beautiful-- but, my gear was so heavy, I ended up staying in the courtyard. I need to figure out how to travel lighter!

- I spent hours drawing with my artist dad when I was a kid. Art took a back seat to school and career, until an article about daily painters inspired me to start drawing and painting again. I post new work on this blog to chart my progress. Nice sense of light here. Isn't it great, plein air season has returned! Depending on where you live, of course. The season is in full swing here in San Francisco, although I'm stuck doing some studio work today. Cheers!
