This is a blog to share my love of painting and drawing. Daily practice isn't always possible, but it remains the best way to make consistent progress.

The Kiss - 7" x 11 " Pastel
A perfect Valentine's Day subject: my parents, circa 1948. As you might be able to tell, I worked from a B&W photo. They eloped shortly after this picture, and nine months later, my big brother was born. Happy Valentine's Day:)
This is beautiful - it's like watching a great hollywood classic movie, Cary Grant, Grace Kelly, etc. You've really capture the "feeling". Have a wonderful day.
Hi! If you're interested in any of my paintings, or a commission, email me. I love to paint portraits of people and animals, and other subjects with special meaning.
Contact: Rhondahurwitz1 "at" gmail.com. Thank you for stopping by my blog.
I spent hours drawing with my artist dad when I was a kid. Art took a back seat to school and career, until an article about daily painters inspired me to start drawing and painting again. I post new work on this blog to chart my progress.
Two things I've learned: 1) art is a never-ending journey, and 2) I'm happiest in front of an easel:)
I live in Goshen, CT with my husband, a rescue dog named Cassie.
Thanks for visiting!

That's amore! Nice work...you really feel that kiss cemented everything.
Like the lighter pastels, reflecting the older picture. Nina

Look how far behind I am on commenting. Rhonda, your color choices are great and what a story this tells. Very nice!
