This is a blog to share my love of painting and drawing. Daily practice isn't always possible, but it remains the best way to make consistent progress.

Tuscan Alleyway - WIP (11" x 14" Pastel)
A scene I am currently reworking. May make scene a little taller to show more of the buildings on each side; figure proportions will be tweaked. Sky will be developed for some interest, and highlights will be added to enliven the scene.
I spent hours drawing and painting alongside my artist dad when I was a kid. Then, art took a back seat to school and career.
One day, an article about daily painters inspired me to start painting again. Each day, I'd post a new small work on this blog ... sometimes at midnight!
I'm happiest when I'm in front of an easel, and now -- newly retired -- I'm painting and blogging again.
One thing I've learned: this Is a never-ending journey! But whether a painting turns out well or not, there's no better feeling than standing back, seeing what you created, and sharing it with others.
I live in Westchester, NY with my husband, and a rescue dog named Sam. Occasionally, our grown kids camp out here, too.
Thanks for visiting!
