This is a blog to share my love of painting and drawing. Daily practice isn't always possible, but it remains the best way to make consistent progress.

Home Alone (Shelties are the Best Dogs) - 5x7" Pastel
Yesterday I struggled a lot, but today I knew exactly what I wanted to paint and I completed it quickly. The subject is my dog Trixie, who gives me that look every time I have to go out and leave her home alone. Today she was my muse!
Hi! If you're interested in any of my paintings, or a commission, email me. I love to paint portraits of people and animals, and other subjects with special meaning.

I spent hours drawing with my artist dad when I was a kid. Art took a back seat to school and career, until an article about daily painters inspired me to start drawing and painting again. I post new work on this blog to chart my progress.
Two things I've learned: 1) art is a never-ending journey, and 2) I'm happiest in front of an easel:)
I live in Goshen, CT with my husband, a rescue dog named Cassie.
Thanks for visiting!
